Timothy K. McDaniel, Ph.D. is Founder and Managing Member of Major Groove. Tim is a product development executive with 25+ years in genomics tools and cancer diagnostics. He has launched over 30 products spanning genomic sequencing consumables, liquid biopsy, early cancer detection, and comprehensive genomic profiling. He led Ashion Analytics through its acquisition by Exact Sciences, contributed key assay development milestones to DELFI Diagnostics' $225M Series B financing, and helped build Illumina from startup to the world's leading genomic sequencing platform company. He is an advisor to TGen and serves on the Scientific Advisory Board of Syndex Bio, an ARCH Ventures portfolio company. He previously served on the SABs of Deepcell, an Andreessen-Horowitz portfolio company, and Omniome until its acquisition by Pacific Biosciences.
